JAVERIANA
In 1623, the Jesuit community founded the Javeriana University in Bogotá, and then in 1970 the Cali campus opened its doors. Since then, these universities have attained international status. The Universidad Javeriana - Cali campus is nestled in the majestic Andean mountain range which dominates Colombia´s landscape and lies at the foot of the towering Farallones. This beautiful campus is alive with the singing of birds, the squawking of parrots and the hooting of waterfowl. A rushing mountain stream adds to the cacophony of nature as it wends its way through campus buildings and grounds. The lush variety of tropical plants, trees and gardens delight the students with ever-changing vistas. The world at the Javeriana is physically beautiful, intellectually challenging and stimulating in a tranquil setting. You will study with men and women who trust you, treat you with respect and say hello and goodbye with affection and good wishes. This is a university where nature, architecture and humans seek harmony as its students prepare to make a difference in the 'real’ world.
