Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia, founded in 1970, is the regional headquarters of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, the oldest Colombian university, started by the Jesuits in 1623.

It is a catholic university, created and directed by the Society of Jesus, with an open mind to all persuasions of scientific and technological thought and development.

Its campus, one of the most admired architectural designs in the region, is located in the rural area in the south of the city, surrounded by a rich diversity of flora and fauna, typical of the Andean mountain range of Western Colombia
